SUMMARY:

Responsibilities: Keeping Producers cattle in separate lots and weighing all cattle. Knowing all programs requirements for accepting cattle to qualify for (Japanese, Canadian, and Mexican markets.) Knowing all animal welfare requirements for handling cattle (downers, blind, and cripples.) Responsible for sending sick and unfit cattle home. Entering final lots into computer. Good communication skills a must to communicate with Government Inspectors, Procurement, Bull haulers, Producers, scheduling and Kill floor operations. Keep supervisor informed of issues during Shift. Needs to be able to make decisions on own during the evening hours to ensure all procedures and policies are being followed in the Yards and help keep team members working safely.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: HS Diploma preferred

• Must have good verbal/written communication skills
• Must be employed w/ Tyson for a min of 6 months
• Must be able to read & write English
• Good mathematical skills
• Attention to details
