THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The City of Baldwin Park is looking for their next Director of Community Development to lead and oversee programs that foster community growth, economic prosperity, engagement, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community planning, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of social and economic development principles. As the Director of Community Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the community by implementing innovative solutions, building partnerships, and ensuring the successful execution of development projects. This role requires a proactive and visionary leader who is committed to making a positive impact and driving meaningful change within the community.
The Director of Community Development will plan, direct, coordinate, and review the activities of the divisions comprising the Community Development Department and will assist the Chief Executive Officer in coordinating the development, analysis, and implementation of City Council policies. The Director receives administrative direction from the Chief Executive Officer.

- CalPERS EE contribution: 9% for classic members or 11.5% for PEPRA members

- Vacation: Employees initially accrue 96 hours per year. Hours increase based on length of service.
