Payroll and Benefits Administrator:
On behalf of our Corporate Operations client, Procom is searching for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Manhattan office.
Job Description:
This role involves coordinating the daily operations of payroll processing and group benefit programs. The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will ensure accurate payroll calculations and manage benefit-related tasks for both local and expatriate employees.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare payroll calculations and processing for local and expatriate employees
• Assist the payroll manager in preparing payroll and benefits throughout the employee life cycle
• Administer and track leaves of absence and update ADP System with employee time off requests
• Monitor transactions to ensure insurance invoices reflect payroll information accurately
• Prepare and coordinate mandatory annual reporting (e.g., ACA, Census)
• Present annual Open Enrollment presentation to employees
• Assist with benefits and payroll audit activities and records
• Assist individual tax filings for expatriate staff in collaboration with payroll manager
• Provide translations for documents and emails exchanged in Japanese as needed
• Evaluate and document procedures to improve efficiency
Mandatory Skills:
• Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in US payroll
• Business level proficiency in English and Japanese
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to details
• Ability to adapt to change in a business environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Global (Gross-up) payroll experience
• Understanding of benefits and accounting
• Working knowledge of ADP, Benefits related systems, MS Dynamics and Concur
Assignment Length:
