Job Description
Are you passionate about Japanese and Korean beauty and household products? Do you have an interest in procurement and e-commerce operations? If so, Yami is looking for a Summer Retail Purchasing Intern to support our team in managing vendor relationships, handling purchasing orders, and optimizing inventory. This internship provides valuable experience in procurement, data analysis, and strategic category management.

Responsibilities:

• Support purchasing specialists in ordering items, tracking purchasing orders, and monitoring inventory levels.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and onboard new best-selling items.
• Coordinate with category managers to optimize item performance.
• Assist internal teams in improving data visibility through daily, weekly, and monthly reports and data tracking (sales, inventory, and in-stock analysis).

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Available to work onsite (Monday-Friday; 40 hours a week) in Brea, CA.
• Available to start work in June – August.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including pivot tables and advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP.
• Bilingual in English and Japanese or Korean (speaking Chinese is a plus).
• Familiarity with and enthusiasm for Japanese/Korean beauty and household products.
