Reports to: Director, Global Physical Strategy

Position Summary:
Secretly Distribution is seeking a proactive, music-obsessed person to manage and enhance our relationships with physical retail and sub-distribution partners. This is a new position, and the successful candidate will work very closely with key stakeholders including Secretly Group and its affiliates (home to Mitski, Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers, and Japanese Breakfast, to name a few key artists).
This role will contribute to relevant and creative physical retail strategies in order to maximize exposure and sales. This individual will provide sales forecasting and global inventory analysis and will develop expertise in the ever-changing landscape of US chart rules and regulations. The ideal person will have at least 5 years of industry experience in physical retail, strong relationships with key accounts, and a track record of working on successful, chart-focused campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Build, sustain, and manage strong relationships across the retail and sub-distribution landscape
- Take a lead role in sales forecasting across new releases and represses
- Devise and implement physical retail strategy and work closely with stakeholders across all aspects of physical sales campaigns
- Work with retailers to innovative new releases, catalog, and tour marketing initiatives
- Pitch for product exclusives in tune with global release strategy
- Advise on price and discount strategy
- Participate in weekly sales, marketing, and project team meetings with label and artist teams
The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates:
- Minimum 5 years experience in physical retail/music distribution
- Experience working on successful, chart-focused campaigns
- Proven track record of building strong and authentic relationships throughout the music industry
- Problem-solving mindset
- Creative approach to their work and the ability to implement new ideas
- Ability to analyze data to aid decision-making
- Passion for the labels and artists on the Secretly Distribution roster

Salary range: $50,000 – $65,000
