We are seeking Server Engineer who can start ASAP

• Client : Japanese company

• Working Location: New York NY, 10016 (Hybrid 2 days ONSITE)

• Working Hours : 9AM-5PM (Lunch Break-1HR)

• Employment Type : Full-time

• Salary : 68K~85K

1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
   1. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance
   2. Implement and manage security protocols to protect servers and ensure data integrity
   3. Resolve server issues promptly and support other IT staff and end-users affected by server-related incidents
   4. Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss
   5. Continuously monitor and tune server performance to meet organizational needs
   6. Understand and follow client’s request and instruction
   7. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve IT services

1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
   1. Support and maintain production servers on AWS and VMware ESXi platforms
   2. Operating system provisioning on AWS and ESXi
   3. Operating system management process improvement
   4. Server/system backup and restore operations
   5. Active Directory, Group Policy, logon scripts, and MFP management
   6. Windows patch management
   7. Windows operating system security management
   8. Develop methods for automated application installation and configuration
   9. Maintain various system health monitoring tools
   10. Monthly usage/status reporting of server platform
   11. Assists with assigned projects or research
   12. Mentor and train new team members if necessary.
   13. Follow team manager’s request/instruction to operate IT operation support team.
   14. Proven expertise in Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Microsoft Intune policies, Entra administration.
   15. Expertise in migration to and maintenance of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is preferred

1. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
   1. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
   2. 3-7 years’ experience in server administration, system engineering and server management
   3. Advantageous if you hold Microsoft Solutions Expert (MCSE), Comp TIA Server+, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
   4. Very flexible mindset & challenging personality against sudden big change of request/workflow/rules/responsibility range/environment.

1. SKILLS:
   1. Strong knowledge of AWS EC2, Virtual Desktop, vSphere/vCenter
   2. Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Login Script management
   3. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
   4. Experience managing Windows Server, VMware vSphere, SQL database
   5. Experience supporting WSUS patch management
   6. Experience with SolarWinds Orion, SolarWinds Security Event Manager or equivalent
   7. Experience with EntraID and Intune policy
   8. System backup and recovery, DFSR
   9. Excellent troubleshooting skills
   10. Good verbal and written communication skills
   11. Technical documentation
   12. Experience with ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow, Zendesk)
   13. Team oriented personality, good verbal and written communication skills
   14. Language English Required/ Japanese Preferable
   15. Experience with a Japanese company is a plus

WORK LOCATION:
Hybrid (2days onsite required/3days remote) (Manhattan Area, NY)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Hold and carry item, which is 20lbs.

TRAVEL:
Occasional domestic and/or international business travel, and work after business hours including the weekend and national holidays if required.
