Description

Centre College invites applications for a two-year visiting instructor or visiting assistant professor of German , to begin August 202 5 . Candidates must be ABD or have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment . The successful candidate will teach 18 credits per a cademic year and teach all levels of German as well as courses in our general education curriculum (first-year seminar). Native or near-native fluency in German and English is required . Specialization is open . Candidates with an interdisciplinary focus or background, such as STEM-infused German language and culture courses, would be of particular interest . The candidate must be committed to excellent teaching in a liberal arts setting and contribute to the growth of our German program including attending German events. Evidence of research and scholarly productivity is desirable.
