Japanese Manufacturing looking for an upbeat and communicative Japanese Interpreter

A Japanese company is currently looking for a full time, fully onsite Japanese Bilingual Interpreter to join their Moraine, OH location.

The company is seeking a bilingual (Japanese-English) interpreter/translator at a manufacturing facility specializing in bolt and nut processing. The role focuses on facilitating communication between the plant manager and factory staff, primarily for internal training and operational improvement. This is a newly created position due to the need for enhanced training support.

DOE and skills, the pay rang for this position would be between 50k-100k.

Your essential duties would be as follows:

– Provide consecutive interpretation during technical training sessions and internal meetings (primarily within the factory).
– Interpret communications from the plant manager to on-site staff regarding production processes, equipment handling, and standard operating procedures.
– Occasionally participate in meetings with suppliers (mostly internal, minimal external client interaction).
– Translate technical documents, training manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
– Support documentation tasks when interpretation is not required.
Please consider the following qualifications:

– Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (business level or higher)
– Experience in interpretation or translation (entry-level candidates with practical experience considered)
– Strong interest in manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments

Preferred:

– Prior experience in manufacturing or factory setting
– Familiarity with technical terms related to production equipment or automated systems
– Ability to support document creation and training coordination
