Job Profile

The Facility Maintenance Team Member is responsible for completing the safe and efficient maintenance of both the plant building facilities and infrastructure (maintenance & operation of the building electricity, HVAC, water, sewage, water quality improvement devices, and fire suppressing & extinguishing equipment) at the AW Texas automatic transmission manufacturing facility. In addition, the Team Member will directly contribute to the following Facilities objectives: 1) Support construction and/or site projects. 2) Perform various repairs and general maintenance tasks (painting, wall repair, plumbing, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Facility Maintenance Team Member will not have direct supervision responsibilities.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain the facility equipment and utilities (structures, electrical, HVAC, water supply, sewage, hydraulics)
• Operate mobile equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, fork lift, etc.) to support maintenance activities
• Follow all Facility safety rules/standards
• Provide accurate information compiled from checklists, inspections, etc.
• Establish and maintain productive and effective working relationships with AWTX Team Members, outside contractors and Japanese Facilities team members
• Support the AWTX facility at-large in emergency situations

Required Qualification / Education
• High school Diploma or GED required
• College or technical school coursework completed is a plus
• 1 or more years of experience in equipment, facilities or general maintenance is required
• Experience with high and low voltage electricity handling is a plus
• Experience as an independent maintenance mechanic, plumber or electrician is a plus
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of utility equipment in the manufacturing industry is a plus
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is a plus
• Experience in a cross-cultural working environment is a plus

• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work rotating shifts and/or overtime as needed
• Ability to travel on business in US or Japan
