Initially focused on manufacturing implements, KMA expanded in 2005 with a new facility in Jefferson, Georgia, which now produces all tractor implements and reassembles Kubota tractors built in Japan for the U.S. market. About the Position:
We are looking for a passionate and driven intern to join our dynamic safety and environmental team for a 12-week internship. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to real-world projects. If you’re ready to kickstart your career and build practical experience in safety and environmental management, this is the internship for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Policy Development: Create, implement, and update safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures.
  • Training and Education: Provide training programs for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and environmental regulations to foster a culture of safety.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, including reporting and documentation requirements.
  • Environmental Management: Develop and implement programs to manage waste, reduce emissions, and promote sustainability within the organization.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields related to safety and environmental studies.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, demonstrating a positive attitude, self-motivation, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
