Position Responsibilities

Manage Demand & Supply Planning and successful Supply Chain execution for assigned Finished Goods, Product Categories, and/or key customers, with emphasis on strategic Supply Chain Management.

Partner closely with Supply Chain functions, such as Logistics, Warehousing, and Raw Material Procurement to manage Demand & Supply Requirements; Cross-functional project management with technical and non-technical groups.

Create Demand Plans through analyzing Finished Goods forecasts, customer forecast accuracy, and historical trends while collaborating & building Demand Plan consensus with Sales and Customers

Review, analyze, and adjust ERP/MRP demand to ensure proper batch size and availability requirements are reflected in SAP

Based on Demand Plans & Sales/Customer consensus; Plan, set, and manage Supply Plans for assigned Finished Goods, Product Categories, and/or key customers, ensuring proper inventory levels and alignment with customer commitments

Act as escalation point for team when issues arise that impact customers and/or FG Planning/Inventory; assist team & management team with containment actions for critical supply chain situations.

Partner with Production Planners to ensure Demand Plans balance Production capacity, inventory KPIs, and customer specifications; work closely with RM Supply Management

Interface with overseas Production facilities, holding them accountable to batch size and availability requirements; upload Demand Plan to supply chain portals/systems

Determine Air / Ocean quantity per batch and issue intercompany Purchase Orders for overseas JSR Production Facilities; Monitor Ocean utilization to control cost and drive improvements

Partner closely with Production Planners to resolve constraints and schedule delays, minimizing direct impacts to customer commitments; Manage escalations and prioritization for customer needs.

Develop efficient supply chain strategies and tactics to improve inventory planning, inventory management, replenishment, and disposition strategies – emphasis is placed on both the quantitative and qualitative approach in this role by managing and exceeding delivery expectations.

Lead cross-functional meetings with Sales, Product Management, Customer Service, and Logistics to ensure successful supply chain execution

Prepare monthly reports on forecast variance, on-hand inventory, and impact to Air/Ocean transit; partner with Sales to identify and drive improvements with customers

Identify inventory aging issues proactively and manage with Sales to reduce risk of expired goods; Manage inventory reallocations between customer fabs to balance supply

Maintain FG SKU master data for intercompany transfer pricing, requirements, lot size, and other Supply Chain requirements

Lead department and cross functional process improvement projects, lean initiatives, and drive continuous improvement & Corrective Actions

Lead review of Department Risk Register for changes to procedures and/or risk levels and take action to address; Develop and keep procedures updated

Manage supply chain changes by coordinating within Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, with overseas counterparts, Management, and Process Change Boards

Manage Finished Goods non-conforming events for Supply Chain Issues, preparing and presenting to MRB Board and drive Corrective Actions

Manage new Customer / Finished Goods introductions with Sales, Business Planning, Production, Logistics, Engineering, and Supply Chain counterparts across JSR locations

Participate in 3PL and/or customer inventory audits, as needed

Represent Supply Chain in audits, including ISO, Accounting Audits, Customer Audits, and Production Plants

Assist Management with prioritizing and achieving dept. projects, process improvements, metrics, and objectives to align with company BSC Goals

Monitor open intercompany Finished Goods Transfer Purchase Orders, delivery status, and resolve any on-time delivery performance issues proactively from intercompany sites.

Develop, Document and Implement Planning & Procurement procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.

Mentor junior staff and facilitate hands-on training with all stakeholders as needed

May research supply sources for Raw Materials, Trading Goods, and Packaging

Other duties may be assigned.

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years combined Supply Chain Demand, Supply, Production, or Material Planning experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with Sales, Contract Manufacturers, and/or other customer facing teams
  • 5+ years of experience leading team projects, audits, and interfacing with Sr. Management
  • Experience with Supplier Audit methodologies highly desired
  • ISO 9000 or similar QMS
  • Intermediate experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Import/Export related experience preferred
  • Intermediate to Advanced in MS Office
  • Japanese language skills a plus

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Supply Chain preferred or equivalent experience
  • APICS Training / Certification desired
  • Project Management Training / Certification a plus

Typical Work Hours/Schedule/Location/Travel time

  • Hybrid Work location – Sunnyvale, CA / Remote
  • Occasional business trips for training, customer-facing meetings, or inventory audits.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit in front of computer up to a full workday, including moderate amount of time in meetings, video and/or audio calls
