- General Summary: Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions and system integrations that will improve efficiency and productivity of our team members.
- Essential Job Functions:
- Act as a Subject matter expert (SME) for Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Fabric, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and processes and translate them into efficient and scalable automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, and other technologies.
- Perform end-to-end process analysis, help business users identify automation opportunities, and provide recommendations for process improvements, where applicable.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including functional requirements document, project plans, process workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop, unit test, assist in UAT, and implement automation for new processes for all TBA locations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and/or revise existing automations to ensure their accuracy and efficiency to ensure consistent usage and intended benefit realization.
- Work with business stakeholders and management to gather feedback and continuously optimize automation solutions for performance and scalability.
- Anticipate and prepare for potential risks in automation and develop clear testing and implementation standards/processes based on prior issues and failures.
- Help establish standards and process guidance following best practices, ensure compliance, and support TBA Automation COE (Center of Excellence).
- Own and maintain roadmap of all automation activities, and complete management reporting as requested (e.g., define reports as assigned, maintain backlog, KPIs, etc.).
- Develop a thorough understanding of the architecture of current TBA systems and processes, and identify potential improvements, assess implementation priorities, manage project activities, and determine risks and final outcomes.
- Maintain knowledge, periodically report out modern technologies, including newer Agentic AI features and functionalities, in the market for new automation technology and improved office processes to be considered for TBA locations.
- Train or assist other team members in their automation efforts, including citizen developers.
- Maintain effective communication and a positive working relationship with all consulting resources, functional TMs, and process owners.
- Work with TBA TMs to ensure all activities are consistent with established TBA standards and expectations (including change management). Support the creation of new standards as needed.
- Partner with other TB group companies such as TB Japan, TB Europe and other regions to share ideas, best practices that will allow learning and growth together.
- Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience:
- Greater than six (6) years of relevant experience and academic preparation or ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Greater than three (3) years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI/ MS Fabric, Copilot Studio).
- Working knowledge of PowerFx, Python, JSON, HTML, CSS, XML.
- Strong knowledge and experience in integrating with ERP systems and other interfacing applications via API and custom connectors.
- Strong database, data modelling and visualization skills, particularly for business analytics (Power BI or any other tools).
- Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals / Power Platform Developer Certifications.
- Working knowledge/ experience in the Azure AI platform.
- Experience with Oracle EBS (12.2.10) system.
- Toyota Tier 1 or other OEM Tier 1 system development experience

Language Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Japanese or Spanish would be helpful but are not required.
Computer/Software:
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office, Windows, and other standard office applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, Helpdesk, etc.).
- Proficient in low code/no code development tools is a plus.
- Experience using Oracle EBS, BI Systems is a plus.
- Work Environment/Conditions:
Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.
Plant: N/A.
Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America.
- Physical Demands:
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extensive periods of time is required. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time and may be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds. The ability to travel by automobile and airplane are both required.
