Summary

Wholestone Prestage is a producer-owned pork protein provider that hires exceptional people who love what they do. The International Account Specialist – East Asia plays an integral role in supporting our International Sales & Marketing team by coordinating communication, documentation, and service activities for customers throughout East Asia. This position ensures that each customer receives accurate, timely, and professional support while collaborating closely with Operations, FSQA, Logistics, and other internal departments. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Education, Licensure and Experience
• College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in account coordination, customer service, or sales support-preferably in manufacturing, food, or international trade.
• Familiarity with international logistics or export documentation preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new software programs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following (Please note: This in no way states or implies that these are the only duties you will be required to perform.   1. Serve as a key daily contact for assigned East Asia customers, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  2. Coordinate routine communication, documentation, and order details between customers and internal departments.
  3. Support customer visit preparation, documentation, and follow-up.
  4. Maintain positive relationships through exceptional service and responsiveness.
  5. Assist with the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of customer accounts, specifications, and program requirements.
  6. Ensure all documentation-including product specs, audit reports, and certificates-is accurate and current.
  7. Track orders, shipments, and program updates; communicate changes or issues promptly.
  8. Maintain internal records and databases related to account activities.
  9. Work closely with Operations, FSQA, Logistics, and other teams to support customer requirements and resolve issues.
  10. Participate in internal reviews and audits related to international customer programs.
  11. Ensure that feedback from customers is communicated effectively to improve processes and service delivery.
  12. Reporting & Administrative Support
  13. Prepare reports, summaries, and other documents as requested by the International Sales & Marketing leadership.
  14. Monitor performance metrics and assist with trend tracking for assigned accounts.
  15. Provide administrative and project support for department initiatives.
  16. Contribute ideas for improving processes, documentation flow, and customer experience.
  17. Maintain awareness of international trade requirements and support compliance initiatives as directed.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Proficiency in an East Asian language (e.g., Chinese, Japanese, or Korean) is a plus but not required.

Must be able to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings.

Mathematical Skills

In order to perform duties, must be able to:

  1. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure such as whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and fractions.
  2. Compute rate, discounts, ratios, and percent, and
  3. Make, read, and interpret financials, graphs, rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense and judgment in solving problems and interpreting and understanding instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action yet reason when to involve supervisor.

Computer Skills

Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn software.
