Job Description

10 plus years of experience as a Senior Finance Manager in a manufacturing environment

Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager for a leading manufacturing company located in the Detroit, MI area. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for North America, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, forecasting, and budgeting. The role will lead the development of annual budget and supports the creation of strategic roadmaps to meet financial targets.

Requirements of the Senior Finance Manager

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA and/or CPA preferred
• Experience demonstrating effective leadership for multi- disciplinary teams is required.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting and FP&A or related finance roles at a tier one automotive supplier
• 10+ years of experience in a management or supervision role.
• Experience using Plex or another ERP system
• Experience with a global organization, Japanese and/or Mexico experience preferred
• Preferred fluent in Japanese (Speaking, reading, writing)

Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager

• Facilitate/lead in the development of the corporate budget. Evaluate and provide guidance on the financial impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory changes.
• Oversee the ongoing monitoring of budget, actual performance, and forecasts throughout the fiscal year. Assess and evaluate financial performance, identifying variances and risks.
• Deliver comprehensive reports, insights, and projections to the management team in a timely manner.
• Directly supervise Finance and Accounting Managers and provide indirect oversight of all Accounting, Finance, and FP&A personnel. Lead recruitment, development, and performance management of Accounting and Finance staff.
• Lead the Advanced Pricing Agreement (APA) scheme working with global headquarters, keep monitoring the operating profit of each group and make transfer pricing adjustments as needed.
• Support lifetime costing activities in accordance with methodologies. Drive the redesign and development of the overall costing and transfer pricing framework, working cross-functionally with departments and HQ.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop program-based profitability analysis and improve the accuracy of actual program-level cost tracking.
