Precision Tools Service, Inc. has an immediate opening for an outside industrial sales professional in our Tennessee office. Our primary focus is the Tier 1 & 2 Japanese Automotive suppliers. The Account Representative will visit on a regular basis key customers and develop an action plan to grow and maintain accounts while identifying customer’s needs and market opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Develops multiple relationships within the customer’s organization including purchasing, engineering, facility managers, project managers, maintenance, quality and corporate level management.
- Develop product knowledge while using the hands-on approach and personal initiative.
- Develop relationships with vendors to gain product knowledge and technical support.
- Customer service support and team commitment.
- Produce and track sales, orders and inventory reports.
- Develops and delivers sales presentations and closes sales.
- Participates in development of new products, modification of existing products and termination of ineffective products.
- Timely manages assigned sales budgets.
- Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.
- Due to the office being a small, this will include receiving, delivering, and office operations
- Other tasks as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to three years of sales experience and preferably with an industrial distributor
- Knowledge of cutting tools, abrasives, pneumatics, maintenance, repair and operating products is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel with aptitude to learn new computer applications
- Excellent math, verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Good follow up skills and persistence
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Excellent phone presence
- Willing and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and decisiveness
- Ability to react well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment and follow through on commitments
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
