Our Human Resources team plays a vital role in ensuring that every employee feels supported, valued, and empowered. As an HR Generalist I, you will help build and protect the culture that drives our success – while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance.
We are looking for a proactive HR professional who takes pride in supporting people and understands the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and company compliance procedures at all times.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support owners, restaurant managers, central departments, and HR team with daily HR operations
- Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with organizational values
- Recruit, screen, interview, recommend hires, and support full onboarding processes
- Maintain personnel files, HR systems, logs, spreadsheets, and retention requirements
- Respond to income/employment verifications and internal inquiries regarding payroll and policies
- Assist with employee evaluations, retention initiatives, and handbook adherence
- Support employee uniform documentation and new hire personnel file setup
- Provide basic support with payroll/timekeeping when required
- Assist with communication and administration of benefits and open enrollment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director
Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of HR experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of HR fundamentals and regulations
- Exceptional confidentiality – required
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated professionalism and accountability
- Experience within multi-location operations preferred
- Bilingual
- Knowledge in Excel, Google sheets, basic HR KPI’s
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting and computer use
- Occasional lifting of up to 15-20 lbs., filing, bending, and local travel
- Ability to maintain focus on detailed administrative work for extended periods
