IJW Whiskey Company, LLC (IJW) is a dynamic, fully integrated spirits company. Founded in 2017, we’ve compiled the largest independent library of aged Kentucky bourbon and rye and established a global presence including offices in Beverly Hills, Louisville and Tokyo, Japan, a 40-acre campus in Danville. Our ambitious growth trajectory includes a new whiskey distillery in Shelbyville, KY, slated for completion in early 2026, and a Japanese distillery in Chitose that will be completed in late 2026.

With over 100 years of combined industry expertise, our diverse team of seasoned professionals and dynamic newcomers has propelled IJW to the forefront of the spirits industry. Our strategic partnership with one of the nation’s largest independent Wine & Spirits distributors has enabled us to offer 22 products across four unique private label bourbon brands in 28 states. We have added to our spirits portfolio with our first Tequila and Mezcal brands.

Position Overview:

The Senior Bottling Operator is a key member of the production team responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting bottling line equipment. This role provides both hands-on operational support and leadership, serving as a backup to the Bottling Team Lead and supporting the training and development of bottling personnel. The Senior Bottling Operator ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality bottling operations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute the daily Plan of the Day (POD) and follow all production directives.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all bottling line equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform equipment changeovers and support maintenance personnel in repairs, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Serve as a backup to the Bottling Team Lead and assist with leadership responsibilities as needed.
  • Provide strong leadership by example, reinforcing IJW’s culture, values, and production standards.
  • Support bottling personnel through training, development, coaching, and resolving operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately complete production, quality, and operational documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area.
  • Participate in operational improvement initiatives and support cross-functional teamwork.
  • Perform duties of Bottling Operator I and II when required.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn, operate, and troubleshoot multiple pieces of bottling line equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to perform work accurately and consistently.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, demanding production environments.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a comparable operational environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate the facility.
  • Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled areas.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, bend, kneel, and squat.
