Summary

This position will be responsible for managing a wide variety of Human Resources tasks including but not limited to recruiting, company policy, payroll, compensation and benefits and training.

Duties and Responsibilities

General Human Resources Duties (Primary Duty and Responsibility)

  • Maintain both a high and detailed level of understanding of all benefit plans. Act as point of contact for specific benefit plans and leaves assigned to them.
  • Play a part in the administration of performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. This includes external market pricing of positions and internal compensation equity analysis at point of hire, promotion, and periodic market adjustments.
  • Assist in the establishment and evaluation of Merit Increases, Employee Incentive Pay (Bonus) Plan and Sales Incentive (commission) plans.
  • Assist in the creation of new training, development and promotion programs. This includes training and development programs on company culture, philosophy and policy.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Talent Acquisition (Supporting Duty and Responsibility)

  • Talent acquisition process from start to finish while managing candidate and hiring manager communications and expectations, for positions that have been assigned to them.
  • General compensation management such as market pricing positions, negotiating salaries with final candidates, internal equity, etc.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and organize training and development initiatives.

Payroll Functions (Supporting Duty and Responsibility)

  • Bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Responsible for month end journal entries and account reconciliations of payroll related accounts, Avalara and sales & use tax accounts
  • Responsible for Sage fixed asset management and related month end journal entries
  • New driver set up and termination procedures for voluntary and involuntary terms
  • Concur expense audit for policy compliance, account set up for new hires and account deactivation for terms
  • Assist in the establishment and evaluation of Merit Increases, Employee Incentive Pay
  • Lead new hire training for Paycom, Concur expense, Fleet, and MOTUS
  • Manage administration of Corporate Amex programs, including issuing cards to new hires and canceling cards for termed employees
  • Annual personal fleet usage fringe benefit calculation and imputation to W2
  • Coordination of work comp audit and assist in annual insurance application for work comp

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Five or more years of experience in any HR field required
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and present solutions to problems
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office software required
  • Fluent English required (Japanese or a second language is a plus)
  • College degree in related field preferred
  • HR certification preferred (PHR)
