Eyesthetica Is looking for a Ophthalmic Technician with intermediate Japanese language skills in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Eyesthetica is the largest Oculofacial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery practice in California with offices in Encino, Los Angeles, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Irvine, Torrance and Valencia. Eyesthetica is looking for an Ophthalmic Technician interested in working in a fast paced environment where they will have the opportunity to work directly with our physicians and coordinate the daily activities of the back office by obtaining medical records, performing preliminary eye function testing, explaining to patients about medication or procedures and maintaining equipment. Exhibit values of integrity and compassion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Superior Customer Service skills
2. Excellent written, oral communication skills, and knowledge of medical terminology
3. Management of multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
4. Literate in medical management software and Microsoft Office preferred
5. Well-organized with attention to detail.
6. Knowledge of clinical processes and procedures
7. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
8. Empathetic personality with concern for patients’ needs
9. Reliable transportation and required travel

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITES

1. Performs patient work-ups and diagnostic testing as required by most senior level clinical staff
2. Answers patient questions and telephone inquiries, including but not limited to, attaining resolution to patient problems
3. Ensures all clinic equipment is functioning properly; requests repairs and maintenance
4. Maintains a smooth flow of patients to the physical, altering the test sequence as required
5. Provides back support by returning patient phone calls, managing prescription refill, and responding to contact lens calls
6. Assists with appointment scheduling and surgery scheduling as needed.
7. Orders all clinical supplies

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to speak Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, Armenian or Spanish is a plus
2. Experience using Nextgen Practice Management Software
