GENERAL SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for leading sales efforts and managing strategic accounts in the Americas and globally. Key duties include overseeing direct and distributor sales, supporting design-in and reference design initiatives, and driving business development for both new and existing customers. The primary goal is to grow sales and profitability while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. As the main point of contact, this person will handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and manage all communications and visits to meet account objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop and Execute Sales Strategies

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities including quoting, demand creation, and timely follow-ups.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with market conditions, TAM/SAM analysis, and company objectives.
  • Develop and refine the company’s market position through effective communication with both external and internal customers.
  • Meet assigned sales targets, goals, and KPIs.
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g., order bookings, billings) and implement recovery actions as needed.

Manage Customer Relationships and Sales Activities

  • Regularly visit and communicate with customers to understand needs, provide technical solutions, and promote company products.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for technical presentations, project coordination, product specifications, and securing design wins.
  • Manage global pricing, contracts, and inventory.
  • Inform customers of product availability through utilization of manufacturing and development plans.
  • Build and maintain long-term, solution-oriented customer relationships.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

  • Work closely with engineering, technical support, manufacturing, distributors, sales representatives, and the supply chain team to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure timely, clear communication and follow-up on all technical requests and action items.

Monitor Market and Competitive Landscape

  • Provide management with timely insights on market trends, competitive positioning, and new opportunities.
  • Attend sales meetings and contribute to strategic discussions by reporting on sales activities and market feedback.

Manage Reporting, Forecasting, and Quoting

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, monthly reports, and customer contact reports.
  • Continuously analyze company databases (ATAC, AGNIS, and ACROS) for reporting and strategic insight.
  • Input Sales Expansion Themes and reference activities into internal systems.
  • Issue quotes per company pricing policies, ensuring compliance with all procedures.

Support Global Sales Coordination

  • Collaborate with global counterparts to grow international business through regular communication and shared account activity.
  • Submit detailed contact reports within 48 hours of customer engagements.
  • Take on special projects or responsibilities as directed by management.

Drive Product Promotion and Increase Product and Industry Knowledge

  • Deliver sales and technical presentations to customers, distributors, and sales representatives.
  • Participate in promotional activities to drive awareness and adoption of company products.
  • Provide product and sales training sessions for employees, partners, and customers.
  • Promote new product introductions, reference designs, and design-in activities in coordination with marketing and engineering teams.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Level 1 – Basic Requirements – All Sales
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, colleagues, and business partners.
  2. Interest or experience in sales techniques, international business, and project management.
  3. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  4. Knowledge and/or interest in electronic engineering in relation to OEM products.
  5. Fluency in Japanese (speak/read/write) is preferred but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 2-3 years of relevant sales experience.
  2. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  3. Valid state-issued driver’s license and reliable vehicle to visit customers.
