Pay: $90-100K DOE

Casino in Portsmouth, VA seeks a Room Chef – Asian Cuisine.

Responsibilities:

-Direct day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards for food quality, safety, sanitation, and guest service. -Manage financial performance by controlling food and labor costs, monitoring inventories, and preparing departmental budgets.
-Lead talent development through the hiring, training, and supervision of culinary team members.
-Develop menus and recipes while collaborating with suppliers to establish and document product specifications. -Ensure strict adherence to company policies and gaming regulations, including 24-hour accessibility for operational needs.
-Coordinate with Front of House and other departments to maintain seamless communication and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

-8+ years of total culinary experience.
-5+ years of specific experience as an Asian Room Chef (Chinese/Japanese) in a high-volume, high-quality operation.
-Culinary degree or equivalent professional work experience.
-Proven ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
