Sushi by Scratch Restaurants isn’t just a dining experience; it’s an intimate journey into the art of sushi. We are looking for an experienced and polished Maître d’ to oversee guest front of house service, reservations and be the ambassador of our restaurant, while being available to assist our Bar Program as needed.
The Maître d’ Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinating and Managing Reservations • Answering the Phone, Emails, and Text Messages from Guests
• Greet and Welcome Guests into the Restaurant, ensuring a High Standard of Hospitality
• Coordinate with the Chef and FOH Staff to Ensure Timely and Efficient Service
• Ensure Compliance with Sanitation and Safety Regulations
• Promote the Brand in the Local Community through Word-of-Mouth and Restaurant Events
• Foster a Collaborative Spirit by Supporting your Colleagues
• Interact with Guests and Team Members with Warmth and Professionalism
• Ensure Thoughtfulness, Accuracy, and Precision in All Aspects of Service
• Maintain an Updated Knowledge of the Menu, Beverage List, and Specials
• Manage VIP Guests and Special Events to Ensure an Exceptional Experience
• Regularly Review Product for Quality
• Assist with the Bar Service Program, as scheduling needs require
Candidate Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maître d’ or Host, in the Hospitality industry
• Priority will be given to candidates with Bartending experience
• Passion for Hospitality and the ability to provide exceptional service and create lasting memories for our guests
• Warm and Professional communication and leadership skills
• Are a reliable, flexible team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations
• Have availability to work nights and weekends, including Holidays
Compensation: $270.00 per day

Scratch Restaurants started when Chefs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee decided they wanted to put their personal spin on what a restaurant concept could be. Although each of their concepts are independent and unique from one another, the constant thread that ties all of Scratch Restaurants together is the dedication to the artisanal “from scratch” approach to hospitality. Currently featuring and expanding our Sushi|Bar and Pasta|Bar tasting menu concepts.
