Overview of the role
The Senior Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all HR functions across Wonderfield Houston. This role is responsible for designing and executing people strategies that support a multi-location organization while ensuring consistency, compliance, and cultural alignment across corporate and field operations.
Serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, the Senior Director of HR drives scalable HR solutions that align people, performance, and culture with business objectives and long-term growth.
Key Accountabilities
1. Operational HR Excellence
- Lead and standardize HR operations across all locations, ensuring consistency and efficiency
- Oversee HR infrastructure, policies, systems, payroll coordination, and reporting accuracy
2. People & Culture
- Champion Wonderfield Houston’s values and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and engagement
- Lead employee relations strategy, including investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution
- Ensure consistent and fair application of policies while balancing business needs and employee experience
3. Leadership & Talent Development
- Design and implement leadership development programs for managers and senior leaders
- Lead performance management frameworks, including goal setting, evaluations, coaching, and PIPs
4. Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all jurisdictions in which the company operates
- Serve as the primary HR partner to Legal on investigations, claims, audits, EEOC matters, and litigation
- Oversee handbook updates, policy governance, and compliance training
- Proactively identify and mitigate employee-related risks across the organization
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 12-18+ years of progressive HR experience, with:
5-8+ years in senior leadership
Prior experience already at Director level
Clear evidence of enterprise or multi-function impact
