Rust Developer

We are looking for a Rust Developer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, an Electronics Manufacturing company, with headquarters based in Osaka, Japan.

Our client is developing innovative technologies and solutions for wide-ranging applications in the consumer electronics, housing, devices, B2B solutions and energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Rust.
• Contribute to the architectural design of high-throughput and low-latency systems.
• Profile and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement rigorous testing strategies (unit, integration, and property-based testing) to ensure software reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, DevOps) to define requirements and deliver features.

Requirements

• Advanced Level of English.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years specifically using Rust.
• Experience writing concurrent and parallel programs using Tokio, Async-std, or standard library threads.
• Familiarity with common crates and tools such as Cargo, Serde, Clap, SQLx, Actix/Axum/Rocket.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (PRs, code reviews).

Bonus Points

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields.
• Intermediate Level of Japanese.
