POSITION STATUS: Full-Time

WORK LOCATION: (HTA) DLS (Dallas, TX) or CGO (Schaumburg, IL)

WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: Hybrid (+50% Onsite)

WORK STYLE REQUIREMENT: Onsite 60%/ Remote 40%

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Domestic and International

EXPECTED PAY RANGE: $215,309 to $296,049 annually

The Senior Director of Corporate Strategy plays a critical executive leadership role in partnering with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to shape, lead and operationalize sustainable corporate strategies that drive long-term enterprise growth and competitive advantage. This role provides enterprise-wide strategic direction, ensures cross-organizational alignment at the executive level, and champions the translation of corporate vision into measurable, high-impact initiatives across global operations.

The Senior Director will serve as a strategic advisor to executive management, ensuring organizational readiness for transformation and future growth, strengthens core business foundations, and drives continuous improvement in strategy execution, operational excellence, and corporate governance across the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide executive leadership in shaping, refining, and executing enterprise-wide corporate strategy and governance frameworks in close leadership with the CEO, COO, CSO, and Business Unit leaders.
  • Lead high-impact, cross-sector strategic initiatives across the Semiconductor, Healthcare, and Environment businesses to strengthen business competitiveness, accelerating growth strategies and drive execution.
  • Drive management and business process transformation to strengthen organizational foundations and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement, fostering trusted relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and global subsidiaries to ensure effective global business operations.
  • Advance collaboration with the Hitachi Group to accelerate sustainable growth and expand strategic opportunities.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of company and business.
  • Deep understanding of industry dynamics, global markets, and corporate governance principles.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience, including significant experience in corporate strategy and business transformation.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide strategy development within a large organization or consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated success advising executive leadership on complex strategic decisions.
  • Deep understanding of Hitachi’s business policies and strategies.
  • Experience executing cross-border or international projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of existing businesses and new business development, with the ability to align with the company’s long term vision and strategic direction.
  • Travel Requirement: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by business needs.

  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage proactively with stakeholders including executives, senior management, , managers, employees, customers, vendors, and public/private agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted member of the company’s leadership team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
