Summary
Responsible for leading and executing the company’s business development initiatives and strategic alliance partnerships in the electronics industry. Develops and implements mid to long-term growth strategies through strategic partnerships, M&A activities, and new business opportunities. Builds and maintains relationships with key industry partners, customers, and stakeholders to drive business expansion and competitive advantage.
What You’ll Do

  • Business-level fluency in both English and Japanese (speaking, reading, writing) is required.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives, including market analysis, opportunity identification, partner evaluation, and deal structuring.
  • Develop and maintain strategic alliances and partnerships with key players in the semiconductor and electronics industry to enhance competitive positioning and market access.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute merger and acquisition opportunities, including due diligence, negotiation, integration planning, and post-merger integration management.
  • Create mid to long-term (3-5 years) business development strategies aligned with Division and organizational objectives to drive sustainable growth.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry associations, in both Japanese and English-speaking markets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across sales, supply chain, operations, accounting, and other key functions.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats in the semiconductor and electronics sectors.
  • Negotiate and structure complex business agreements, including joint ventures, licensing agreements, distribution partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
  • Develop business cases, financial models, and ROI analysis for strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive business experience in the semiconductor and electronics industry, with at least 10 years in business development, strategic planning, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing M&A transactions, including integration and post-merger management.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing strategic alliances and partnerships at the executive level.
  • Extensive experience in international business operations, particularly in Japan and North American markets.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor value chains, electronics manufacturing, and distribution business models.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-million dollar business transactions and negotiations.
