Summary of Job Description:

The L&D Curriculum Development Specialist helps lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level learning programs that build leadership capability and operational excellence. This position applies data-driven insights, performance metrics, and evaluation frameworks to ensure curriculum aligns with business goals and drives measurable impact. The Specialist also facilitates select training sessions as assigned to validate content effectiveness and partners with key stakeholders to research, develop, and refine learning solutions that enhance the overall learner experience and organizational effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Researches and develops enterprise-level curriculum using the ADDIE model to ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals. Evaluates the effectiveness of learning programs for both Operations and Support Center associates using ROI and the Kirkpatrick evaluation framework.
  • Identifies and applies key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of GO and Support Center courses on job performance, leadership capability, and career progression. Uses these insights to inform curriculum design and continuous improvement.
  • Leads focus groups and stakeholder sessions to gather insights that drive curriculum development and innovation. Conducts ongoing research on emerging learning methodologies, instructional technologies, and industry best practices to benchmark program quality.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Curriculum Development, Subject Matter Experts, and Training Managers to design, update, and standardize learning content. Ensures training materials reflect current business priorities, best practices, and learner feedback.
  • Maps curriculum to competencies and organizational capabilities to maintain alignment with business needs, performance metrics, and evolving talent strategies.
  • Facilitates select GO and Support Center classes as assigned to validate content effectiveness and ensure alignment between design intent and learner experience.

Qualifications – External

Your background and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional/Curriculum Design, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment,
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in Japanese or Korean.
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range: P3: $90,000 – $126,5000/per year

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
