FUNCTION

The Japanese Sales Manager is responsible for the sale and support of Company seating products and services to Off-Road and On-Highway Equipment Manufactures in Japan. This position develops and implements the sales and marketing strategies and policies which meet company objectives. The Japanese Sales Manager is also responsible for managing the Sales Department at this location and serving as the Companies Japan Executor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Plan and manage Japanese off-road & truck sales efforts to new and existing customers.
  • Ongoing support of new and existing customers including regular visits within Japan, and the establishment of top level contact with the management of these customers.
  • Work with Business Development Mgr., Sears Davenport, Sears GSK – Asia & GRO’s (Global Relationship Owners) in setting pricing policies and sales goals.
  • Recommendation of product and product line revisions to meet customer needs.
  • Participation in Trade Exhibitions, global sales meetings and conventions as required.
  • Perform customer service activities and resolve customer complaints.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of plans and goals in line with company strategic plans and objectives.
  • Confer with Business Development Manager, All Regional Sales Groups and GRO leaders in the development of marketing policy, recommending product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
  • Coordinate sales activities such as sales promotions, training or special projects.
  • Ensure all order and customer communications are promptly and accurately handled. Take appropriate action to resolve customer service problems.
  • Responsible for managing the sales department personnel at Sears Japan.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining budgets for the sales department at Sears Japan.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination, transfer and implementation of new projects.

-Responsible for sales growth within existing customers.

  • Formulate and recommend policies and objectives to ensure effective operations of sales activities.
  • Recommend changes that would improve the effectiveness of achieving the department objectives.
  • Serve as the Japan Executor.
  • Develop and implement goals and plans of action consistent with Company objectives.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports To: President or VP of Sales

Supervises: Japan Sales Dept.

Coordinates or works with: Sears Corporate, SGA, customers and the general public.

Education and/or Experience

  • Requires a four year college degree in Marketing/Sales.
  • Requires five to ten years of similar supervisor experience.

Equipment and Tools

  • Ability to proficiently operate office equipment, including computer, printer, calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and multi-line telephone.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).

Minimum USD Salary: 8,500,000
Maximum USD Salary: 8,500,000
