This position is for the PAC-3 Japan Program working in the Quality Engineering department.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Inspecting hardware prior to customer delivery.
• Working root cause and corrective action.
• Handling warranty claims.
• Communicating with the Japanese Customer.
• Working alongside other Japan team members and functions.
• Up to 25% travel will be required for both domestic and international.

In addition, the candidate must also be able to:
• Apply quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, production evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
• Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventative action.
• Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
• Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
• Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or other related Technical degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
• Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Ability to Work Remotely:Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
