Kiawah Island Club is seeking a passionate, service-driven Food & Beverage Manager to join the leadership team at Cassique Clubhouse. Inspired by the vision of architect Tom Watson and featuring a distinctive modern European clubhouse experience, Cassique is home to 2 restaurant venues. The Living Room, a fast-paced, casual restaurant, offers a small version of the flagship restaurant’s menu. Voysey’s is our European-influenced steakhouse and showcases a number of dry-aged steaks from local farms as well as a variety of American wagyu and Japanese Kobe. We are also proud to offer a variety of local produce and seafood, as well as house made pastas, breads, pastries and glace.

The Food & Beverage Manager will play a key leadership role in the daily operation of both restaurants, ensuring exceptional service standards, team engagement, and operational excellence. This individual will lead by example on the floor, cultivate a culture of hospitality, and work closely with culinary and clubhouse leadership to deliver a seamless and elevated experience for Members and guests.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house team members to deliver exceptional hospitality and personalized service.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment that reflects the values and culture of Kiawah Island Club.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing service staff.
  • Conduct ongoing performance coaching and provide feedback to support employee growth and success.
  • Serve as a visible leader during service periods, providing direction and support to the team.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily dining room operations across Voysey’s and The Living Room.
  • Ensure service standards, operating procedures, and club policies are consistently executed.
  • Coordinate floor plans, staffing assignments, and service flow to maximize efficiency and Member satisfaction.
  • Monitor reservation activity, Member preferences, and special requests to ensure personalized experiences.
  • Assist in managing labor resources to align with business levels and operational goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining environment.

Member Experience

  • Build meaningful relationships with Members and guests through genuine hospitality and proactive engagement.
  • Address Member feedback and service recovery opportunities with professionalism and urgency.
  • Anticipate Member needs and continuously seek opportunities to enhance the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with leadership to execute special events, wine dinners, Member functions, and seasonal programming.
  • Partner closely with Culinary, Clubhouse, Golf, and other departments to ensure seamless Member experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding operational challenges, staffing needs, and service opportunities.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience in a luxury club, resort, fine dining restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, beverage service, and modern dining operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire service teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Member-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale and reservation management systems.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • ServSafe and alcohol service certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate on computers, in person, and over the telephone.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as required.
