Job Title: Japanese- English Translator
Job Description
We are seeking a Japanese-English bilingual administrative support contractor to provide comprehensive support to Japanese staff, expatriates, and visiting executives. This role involves day-to-day administrative, communication, coordination, translation, and interpretation support. The position also assists with selected officer-related assignments and general administrative tasks based on business needs. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, highly organized, culturally aware, and able to communicate professionally in both Japanese and English. This position requires flexibility, discretion, responsiveness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support for Japanese team members, expatriates, and visiting executives.
- Support Japanese expatriates and their families with general coordination related to working and living in the United States.
- Assist with onboarding, relocation, and general coordination for Japanese expatriates and their families.
- Provide Japanese-English interpretation support for meetings, discussions, plant activities, administrative matters, and other business-related situations.
- Provide Japanese-English translation support for documents, communications, presentations, and other materials as needed.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers as needed.
- Support selected officer-related assignments, including research, coordination, document preparation, follow-up, and other special projects.
- Provide general administrative support, including preparing documents, organizing information, tracking open items, scheduling meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
- Help improve standard work, FAQs, manuals, and support processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

- Proficiency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.

- Strong service mindset and ability to support people with patience and professionalism.
- Ability to respond quickly, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to support a wide range of administrative and business needs.
Work Environment
The role is based onsite in a cubicle within a fast-paced, multicultural manufacturing environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Blue Springs, MS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $35.00/hr.
