Position Summary:
DCMA is seeking a highly motivated Pan Asia Equity Sales professional to join our New York office. A successful candidate will be a team oriented, well-organized and an analytical thinker who can coordinate the client’s needs for research, corporate access, management meetings, and logistics related to meetings or roadshows. The ability to understand the client’s broker-evaluation process and communicate that to colleagues across the firms’ global platform is critical to optimizing monetization of the group’s effort.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage client relationships with an eye on broadening the scope and depth of our business together will be highly evaluated.
- Develop new client relationships. Having established client relationships is highly evaluated.
- Investment idea generation is essential.
- Report to the Dept Sales Head regularly on client progress, changes that effect our marketing efforts and provide a strategic plan for maximizing the potential of the client on our platform.
- Coordinate between research analysts, corporate access teams and logistics support.
- Coordinate with the Global Sales Trading team to ensure a common understanding of the client’s requirements for service, the services being provided and the realistic opportunity to monetize that service.
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree required
- Regulatory licensing: Series 7, 63 as a minimum
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar sales role at a competing firm
- A demonstrated depth of knowledge in the key markets of Japan, Greater China, S. Korea and India amongst others
- Multi-lingual is often helpful
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to travel to see clients within No. America and to travel with clients on reverse roadshows to visit issuers in Asia is required.
- Communication with our Japan and Asia based affiliates and colleagues is necessary and frequent during their local time zone. This is in addition to our normal working hours of 7:30AM – 5PM.
