Description

SEWS – Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least three days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.

Basic Purpose:

  • Confirm and check design changes from NTCNA for all L42P & P42S release activities.
  • Update and maintain packaging data for related releases.
  • Obsolescence reduction
  • Study Complexity reduction ideas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Release wire harness drawings for Nissan Programs utilizing G2B and TCP2.
  2. Check and confirm all design changes from Nissan for all release activities related to L42P & P42S.
  3. Understand / mark-up / sign off on 2D wire harness drawings.
  4. Identify, track and resolve open issues.
  5. Study and maintain Obsolescence reduction activities for each MY. Reinforce complexity reduction to Nissan.
  6. Ability to mark up cost studies and other changes points in order to communicate to our customers (internal & external).
  7. Interface directly with engineering team in order to translate changes to the 3D packaging & 2D drawings.
  8. 3D CAD experience is a must. (NX, CATIA or IDEAS)
  9. Interface with internal SEWS / SWS / K&S Mexico functional groups.
  10. Support vehicle launches / prototype builds.

Qualifications:

  • 4yr B.S. Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-8 years experience with wire harness design and packaging
  • Good language skills, both verbal and written, Japanese language is a plus
