Start here to explore job opportunities by language level—and refine your search from there.
Keep in mind that many companies don’t clearly define required Japanese language levels in their job descriptions. It’s always worth checking the “Not Specified” category, since you may discover opportunities that aren’t labeled by level. Also, be aware that some employers use “bilingual” as a catch-all term or assume every role requires advanced skills—even when that’s not the case.
Be confident in your skills, read between the lines, and don’t hesitate to apply even if you’re not at the listed level. (Want to learn more? Check out our JLPT/Fluent Blog Series!)
