About the Job:

As a Bakery Team Leader you will be an integral part of our new and exciting bakery operation, managing the bakery activities within one of our stores. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful establishment, management, and growth of our bakery operations, whilst maintaining consistent product quality, efficiency, and adherence to company standards throughout the operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Daily Production to ensure display case is filled to La Famille standard following a planogram provided by Ops.
  • Manage weekly stock ordering to ensure you will be able to hit production targets and ensure that shrink targets are hit.
  • Keeping stock levels appropriate and ensuring inventory management is being undertaken
  • Ensure correct team hours are communicated to your ops to ensure correct payment
  • Lead consistent standards in store, setting an example for the Bakery Team Members and coaching them on best practice
  • Ensure production levels are correct for volume of business, ensuring you maximize all possible sales whilst minimizing unnecessary wastage
  • Maintain High standards of cleanliness and organization, following our HACCP and SOP plans that have been provided
  • Ensure out of date stock is removed and recorded each day
  • Will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing customer service and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding customer expectations.
  • Will be expected to achieve a level of service through the constant monitoring of our established brand standards.
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment by being a ‘safety-minded leader’ who leads by example in reporting any food and safety issues and deficiencies in the site.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards.
  • Should have a warm, personable nature and a can-do attitude.
  • Must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the Bakery team are confident in and following menu specs diligently to ensure the best possible experience for the customer.
  • Re-training of Bakery team where needed
  • Ensure Health and Safety is an absolute priority, and you not only adhere to but excel in all areas of company policy ensuring your Bakery pass Kroger/Safeserv/Safety Culture audits
  • Assist with any new openings to support the ongoing growth of the business and follow up with post-opening support where required.
  • Be a positive role model for the Team and create a healthy, dynamic, and energetic work environment. Are inclusive and champions diversity amongst the teams.

A minimum of 40 hours per week is required. Due to the 7-day nature of our operation, weekend work will be required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in a similar role or within the food industry.
  • In Depth knowledge of both workplace Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures with a valid manager Serv Safe certificate
  • Motivated by developing and championing their team
  • You’re passionate about the guest and the guest experience, leading by example to ensure a superior level of service across your division.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both your line manager and other team
  • You must have a great working knowledge of the kitchen, food specs, product knowledge and health and safety. Able to identify poor food standards and able to communicate and train the teams to rectify the issues at hand. You drive sales by training teams to deliver excellent service, the best standards of food and a clean, safe store.
