About the Company

The Consulate General of Japan in Detroit serves and protects the interests of Japanese residents and companies of Michigan and Ohio.
This office was established in 1993 in response to a significant increase in business activity between Japan and the Great Lakes region.
It is the Consulate’s ongoing mission to foster and strengthen Japan’s vibrant economic, governmental, educational, cultural, and people-to-people relations with Michigan and Ohio.
