Intermediate Japanese Language Skills

These Japanese jobs in the US request intermediate Japanese language / cultural skills, and this can be tricky to define depending on the person and on whether it’s verbal or written communication.

It’s recommended that you have 2-3 years’ of Japanese language classes, whether in college or on your own, and that you have taken at least one business Japanese class to understand the business culture. If you have the desire to learn on the job but your nihongo isn’t “bilingual,” convince the company that you would love to learn their particular terminology on the job. Show how you can provide value and emphasize how you can learn more nihongo now that you have the basics down.
