Job Summary:
The Japanese-Speaking Account Manager is responsible for driving performance, ensuring exceptional customer experience in alignment with customer. This role requires strong bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English, as you will interface regularly with the customer. The ideal candidate has a strong automotive background, proven sales leadership experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a multicultural business environment.
Essential functions of the job:
- Customer Commercial Management (Develop pricing and commercial proposals and negotiate with customer. Be intimate with customer commercial requirements and develop proposals that meet customer requirements and create valuefor YFS)
- Customer Relationship Management (Deliver customer’s information, solve customer’s problems, receive requests of information, deliver issues to related department, provide solutions, proposals, and obtain feedback.
- Commercial Savings Planning / Negotiation – Current and Future year.
- Payment Terms Negotiation and transition plan
- Visit Customers; gather information incl. business opportunities, volumes, capacity, and financial status. Build strong relationship with customers
- Identify, pursue, and realize commercial opportunities that improve YFS financial performance.
- Collect 5-year business plan informationfrom customer.
- Fulfill customer requirements to address pricing and commercial needs that include creation of customers’ price breakdown forms, tooling price breakdown forms, and various requests for information needed to support commercial issues and claims.
- Secure PO and release to internal departments; May include population of customers’ online quotation systems.
- Negotiating of Engineering Changes (Phase 2 – 5)
- Prototype Part Quotation
- ED&D Negotiation / Purchase Order Receipt
- Create / Maintain Bump Chart/MaintainDirected Component Bump Chart
- Customer Price Breakdown Form Development / Maintenance/ History
- Customer Commercial Open Issues
- Account Receivables Issue Resolution (Customer Escalations)
- Load Customer Portal

Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Master’s degree preferred
- *Equivalent work experience may alsobe considered for certain positions.
Required qualifications:
- 5 Minimum Years of Experience with combined Finance Management and/or Sales
- 3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
- Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Well versed in financials (i.e. ROS/IRR/Cash flows/etc.) with proven experience Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Well-developed negotiation, project and account management skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonalskills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form Proficientin MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficient in Excel.
