POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for accounting, administration and governance work in department

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Work on daily accounting, administration, and governance issues. Maintain and keep a clean balance sheet
  • Perform pre-closing procedures (Purchase/Sales/MIT cut-off, Accruals, BS/PL, SGA/CCC review etc.)
  • Create monthly/quarterly/semi-annual reports (Financial results, Commodity Position, Aged TAR, Derivative MTM, Slow-Moving Inventory, Review Meeting etc.)
  • Manages internal/external audit engagement project, navigate and collaborate with unit team members to ensure an effective outcome is met
  • Perform the back office role of commodity derivative transactions with LME brokers
  • Support the Logistics/Sales staff under Administrative & Accounting Dept. to ensure an effective outcome and high level results are met for the BU as a whole
  • Manage and process certain payments/receipts

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business related field, or equivalent experience

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Japanese bilingual
  • Three years accounting experience
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a multi-cultural business environment
  • Requires excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • SAP experience preferred
