As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for an Analytical Quality Chemist to join our Analytical Quality Department.
You will be responsible for AQ/QC and compendial routine and non-routine analysis in support of site production and will provide guidance and support for compendial testing efforts and new product development analysis efforts.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Analytical Quality Control Testing
• Perform routine and non-routine quality testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Conduct compendial testing using wet chemistry and instrumental techniques.
• Provide guidance, support, and training for wet chemical and instrumental testing activities.
• Execute analytical testing in support of customer requests, complaints, new product development, and regulatory needs.
• Perform stability testing as required.
Analytical Method Maintenance and Development
• Develop, maintain, and revise analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods, and developmental products.
• Write, revise, and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Operate, interpret data, troubleshoot, and train others on HPLC/DAD, ELSD, RID, and GC/FID instrumentation.
• Perform and document analytical method validations.
• Support implementation of new analytical methods through training and technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrument issues and coordinate repairs.
• Assist with procurement and maintenance of parts, reagents, solvents, gases, and other testing supplies.
Who We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in an instrumental laboratory environment (HPLC, GC, and related techniques).
• Experience with compendial testing and familiarity with GMP, GLP, and ISO guidelines.
• Experience with interpreting the United States, European, Japanese. and Chinese Pharmacopeias.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of basic, organic, and analytical chemistry.
• Familiarity with Croda manufacturing processes and the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• RCRA/Hazardous Waste Handler certification (preferred).
• Ability to walk, stand, or sit for at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
