Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to support the overall operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will assist in driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-organized and efficient store environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for retail management.

What we’re looking for

Monos is currently on the search for an
Assistant Store Manager to support the operations of our brand new New York store! We are looking for an experienced individual who is responsible for supporting the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently in all areas of operations. You will be a confident individual with an enthusiastic, friendly and motivated personality and can maintain a positive and productive work environment, managing staff and inventory and also ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Recruitment and Management: Includes supporting hiring and training, scheduling and supervising staff as well as performance management and regular 1:1 meetings for coaching and development.
  • Operational Excellence: Assume managerial duties in the absence of the manager, responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the day-to-day business while meeting Operational Objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Work with management team to optimize inventory levels to align with demand, minimizing both overstock and stockouts while adhering to inventory control and shrinkage reduction strategies. Collaborate with the Supply Chain to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of replenishment submissions to meet demand effectively.
  • BOH Management: Optimize the PIPP system to align with high sell-through moving SKUs, ensuring efficient replenishment and sales performance
  • Store Presentation and Cleanliness : Maintain a clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing store to enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure that the store and staff adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Store Security and Emergency Preparedness: Maintain security protocols, follow and train on emergency response plans to ensure the safety of employees and customers.
  • Visual Merchandising: Diligently adhere to the VM Guide to curate a store layout and displays that are customer-centric, effectively showcasing our products through compelling visual merchandising
  • Meeting Store Objectives: Ensuring that the store meets customer satisfaction (CSAT) while actively monitoring and managing Google reviews for the store. Demonstrate a keen ability to identify key performance indicator (KPI) trends and develop creative solutions to enhance these metrics
  • Sales Analytics: Analyzing and communicating sales data to the head office team of trends, sales volume and feedback from customers that will support corporate team to develop sales strategies and make informed higher level decisions

Experience Level

  • 3-5 years experience in Retail Management
  • Exceptional communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with store team, customers and head office team
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as an inspirational and motivating leader
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong technological aptitude and the ability to adapt to and utilize a variety of tech tools for store management and communication (Gsuite, Slack, etc)
  • Inventory management and merchandising experience
  • Experience in effective staff scheduling
  • Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
  • Experience using Shopify is an asset
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Able to lift and carry 25-30lbs

Minimum USD Salary: 55,000
Maximum USD Salary: 70,000
