Position Intro

The Associate Digital Account Manager (PC/Nintendo), as part of the CUSA Digital Platforms Team, oversees all businesses pertaining to the digital distribution of Capcom IP. While reporting to the Senior Digital Account Manager of Digital Platforms, he/she will work with regional teams in Japan, Europe and Asia to promulgate digital distribution business on Valve’s Steam Store and PCD. The Associate Digital Account Manager will also oversee 1st party relationship (Valve & Nintendo of America) to promote Capcom content, while forging new relationships with other distribution partners to maximize revenue and product placement opportunities in all areas of sales and marketing.

As part of the sales administration, the Associate Digital Account Manager will work closely with the Business Strategy Analyst Team, who are responsible for digital sales forecasting, reporting, and analysis. The Associate Digital Account Manager will also work closely with Marketing & PR as it relates to the planning and execution of promotional activities from his/her assigned account including pre-order incentive planning, seasonal sales, hardware/OEM bundling, and new product launch events. The Associate Digital Account Manager will also manage the pricing process and collaborate internally to set up preferred digital pricing for new release and preorder content. The Associate Digital Account Manager will also seek out tertiary business opportunities with companies hosting new distribution services including cloud streaming, subscription and F2P models.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales units and revenue by planning and executing price promotions and bundles tied to seasonality, new releases and other strategically appropriate windows of opportunity.
  • Formulate and execute promotional activities with partners pertaining to all PC products catalog and new.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to ensure all partners have access to appropriate promotional materials (game description, sell text, screenshots, trailers, etc.).
  • Coordinate with product development and the Submissions Team on product release activities with our digital distribution partners.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Submissions Teams to set up preferred digital pricing for new release and preorder content.
  • Manage PC Keys which includes processing and fulfillment of orders to internal teams and external partners.
  • Manage relationships with existing digital distribution partners, including first parties.
  • Forge new digital distribution relationships; including business opportunities on emerging distribution platforms to expand our access to the market.
  • Conceive of new digital business opportunities that leverage the digital distribution channel, including new distribution methods – cloud streaming, subscription, and bundle services.
  • Work closely with marketing and brand teams on executing pre-order incentive programs.
  • Partner with Business Strategy Analyst to analyze campaign performance and implement insights and learnings.
  • Partner with the Digital Sales Team to present Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR)
  • Work with Licensing Dept. or other consumer products divisions on collaborative business development opportunities such as promotions, product collaborations and licensing.
  • Coordinate intra-company communication, contracts and approvals for all pricing, promotional and product release timing issues.
  • Coordinate all required approvals and contracts on behalf of our digital distribution partners with legal, IP, management, product development and marketing.
  • Coordinate with Growth & Performance Marketing teams on paid and editorial placements to promote digital sales initiatives.

Required Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • It is recommended that persons in this role have a BA/BS degree in a business or technology related field with at least 5 years of experience in the gaming, eCommerce, or Media & Entertainment industry and 3 years in digital account management. This individual must be a highly self-motivated, proactive, critical thinker, and be able to make and execute upon impactful decisions based on in-depth knowledge of industry trends. It is important that the candidate be organized, possess strong interpersonal skills, and passionate about the Capcom brand.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional project management, analytical and prioritization skills
  • Ability to run and track multiple/simultaneous sales campaigns and promotions.
  • Strong digital account management skills
  • Advanced web skills such as website curating, SEO, url optimization, etc.
  • Experience with promotion sales pages (1st parties, partners, etc.)
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Familiar with Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong organization & problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with online databases.
  • Familiarity with Capcom’s portfolio of IPs a plus
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Japanese language fluency both spoken and written preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Wrike or similar project management platforms preferred.

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in a business or technology related field

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and transport computer equipment (laptop)

Salary Range:

$80,000 – $100,000 *Compensation is based on current market trends for the San Francisco Bay Area and will be determined based on relevant factors including, but not limited to, industry knowledge, experience, qualification, and skill set..
