What You’ll Do
- Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Set up the bar, prepare fruits, garnishes, juices, and all required mise en place.
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
- Promote, sell, and take orders from guests seated at the bar.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and respectful attitude with guests and colleagues.
- Meet daily sales and service objectives set by management.
- Complete bar cleaning tasks, shine glassware, and maintain impeccable presentation.
- Monitor bar shortages and communicate with the team to ensure smooth operations.
- Receive customers correctly and follow the service schedule.
- Stock daily requisitions and place items in their designated areas.
- Prepare drinks and bar orders accurately and efficiently.
- Break down and dismantle the bar at the end of the workday.
- Prepare requisitions for next-day bar operations.
- Dispose of bar trash and maintain overall hygiene.
- Apply proper policies for handling checks and orders to avoid cancellations or errors.
- Work as part of a collaborative, service-focused team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
What We’re Looking For
- Basic knowledge of gastronomy and strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and beverages.
- Ability to apply service standards consistently.
- Basic computer and POS system skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to address guest needs promptly.
- Ability to read body language, handle guest interactions with tact, and maintain professionalism.
- Organized, dynamic, and detail-oriented in drink preparation.
- Ability to operate bar-specific electrical equipment safely.
- Excellent hygiene and professional presentation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on conditions.
- Stand and move for up to 5 hours.
- Lift up to 15 kilos; push carts and bar equipment as needed.
- Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform bar duties.
- Perform repetitive movements with strong visual, auditory, and mental acuity.
- Use manual dexterity for bar tools and equipment.
- Maintain a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 3 months of experience in a similar role.
- Professional appearance and proper uniform required, including name tag and tools.
- Excellent personal grooming and cleanliness.
- Bilingual strongly encouraged.
