DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Maintains and manages a central information system that tracks project specs and schedules, process tasks, resources, and revisions, as well as archive information.
  • Forecasts and recommends resources required.
  • Partners with members of Nintendo Company Limited (NCL) and Nintendo of America (NOA) internal groups to collect project information, specifications, and asset availability necessary for artwork creation and project workflow.
  • Creates initial workback schedule/tasks, resources, manages revisions, and communicates changes with Design team.
  • Utilizes problem-solving methodology to identify root causes and develop appropriate solutions for improving and standardizing end-to-end process effectiveness.
  • Facilitates department fact finding and research projects to reinforce continuous improvement strategies and standardization initiatives.
  • May requires a high level of visibility and interaction with middle and upper-level management.
  • Provides assessments of team and project performance and reports back to stakeholders and project sponsor/owner.
  • Reviews communications between NOA Artwork Team and NCL and provides Japanese/English translation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience leading projects.
  • Understanding of project management methodology, including ability to identify and resolve issues, create and track milestones, and manage risk.
  • Demonstrated success in innovation and driving business initiatives with measurable results in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project applications.
  • Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent business communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Familiarity with Japanese business culture and etiquette.
  • Proven experience using negotiation skills to drive collaboration across varied stakeholders to ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities.
  • Video gaming or entertainment industry experience a plus.
  • Undergraduate degrees in Business, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Bilingual: Japanese proficiency test Level I or native fluency required.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This position includes a base salary range of $77,500 – $124,000 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
