Job Description
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at the University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for a Credentialed Course Instructor to teach an experiential learning Japanese culture in Birmingham course during the fall semester beginning August 11, 2026, and ending December 11, 2026. This course is part of the Blazer Core curriculum and is taught in English.
Required Qualifications
PhD or MA in Japanese or a related field; 18 graduate credit hours as required by SACSOC; previous experience in teaching Japanese language or Japanese culture, and deep knowledge of the Japanese culture in the Birmingham metropolitan area.
