JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
MCC’s Continuing Education Division is seeking enthusiastic and experienced non-credit instructors to provide personal enrichment opportunities to members of our community. This position will have various teaching opportunities throughout the year and will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and practical course content that enhances students’ personal growth and enriches their lives. Most classes are held on weeknights and weekends. MCC will hold classes at multiple locations throughout the Metro area including Fremont and Blair.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Teach a various topics including but not limited to:
- Adobe InDesign
- Animal Service Dog Training
- Archeology
- Archery
- Artificial Intelligence
- Astronomy
- Blackjack
- DIY home décor and crafts
- Dog Training/Grooming
- Equestrian/Horses
- Fitness
- Foreign language learning: Hindi, Portuguese, Bengali, Japanese
- Home repair and maintenance
- Lotion Making
- Meteorology/Geology/Astrology
- Mindfulness
- Music appreciation and performance
- Pet care and training
- Photography
- Rock Climbing
- Screen-printing
- Self-defense
- Skilled Pottery
- Soap making
- STEM
- Stress management
- Sustainability and eco-living
- Thrifting
- Travel
- Woodworking and DIY Projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Teaching experience (kids/teens/adults/seniors)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging and practical course content
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to helping others achieve personal growth and enrichment
This position will have random teaching opportunities throughout the year.
MCC holds classes at multiple locations throughout the Metro area including Fremont and Blair.
Most classes are held weeknights and weekends.
