About the Role

At the core of merchandising is a deep understanding of the consumer. The Merchandising team blends data-driven insights with creative vision to build compelling product assortments that resonate across global markets.

As a Digital Merchandising 3 on the APLA Sportwear Footwear Merchandising team, you will play a critical role in shaping seasonal product strategies by leveraging marketplace data, consumer insights, and performance analytics. You will help deliver the right product, at the right price, in the right place, at the right time-ensuring a differentiated and consumer-first approach across digital and physical retail channels.

This role supports the Asia Pacific & Latin America (APLA) geography, representing consumer needs across key markets including Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia & India, Australia & New Zealand, Mexico, and Central & South America.
Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to inform merchandising strategies and seasonal plans
  • Analyze retail performance, consumer behavior, and marketplace trends to drive key business decisions
  • Manage and optimize merchandising KPIs through robust reporting and insights
  • Partner cross-functionally with Global, Geo, and Territory Merchandising teams, as well as Marketing, Planning, and Allocation
  • Develop and execute assortments tailored to specific markets and consumer segments
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align on business goals and execution
  • Maintain a balance between demand-driven (pull) and supply-driven (push) merchandising strategies
  • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to long-term business growth

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising, product creation, or retail (vertical or wholesale environments)
  • Experience in footwear, apparel, or equipment merchandising (footwear strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs and profit-based metrics
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and presentation tools (PowerPoint/Keynote)
  • Proven ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative consumer and POS data
  • Experience building assortments based on market trends and consumer insights
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in footwear merchandising within global or regional markets
  • Knowledge of sneaker culture and evolving consumer trends
  • Familiarity with APLA markets and cultural nuances (or willingness to learn)
  • Prior experience with leading global brands (e.g., sportswear or lifestyle companies)

  • Multilingual abilities (Spanish, Korean, Japanese, or Portuguese)
  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to work across diverse markets
