Kobe Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse is seeking exceptional candidates to join our service team. We are searching for friendly, energetic, highly motivated individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.
As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our restaurant, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The Dishwasher is a key member of the back-of-house team, responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing tasks, and opening/closing duties.
- Set up and break down the dish machine area daily.
- Set up the 3-Compartment Sink (Wash, Rinse, Sanitize) with correct temperatures and chemical concentrations
- Prepare and maintain pres-soak and sanitizer buckets, checking sanitizer concentration every two hours.
- Air dry all cleaned and sanitized items on designated shelving.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant and dish station.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble all dishwasher components (screens, nozzles, pushing bar) nightly.
- Manage garbage: use two trash bags for 55-gallon cans, do not overload; empty, wash, and dry all trash cans and dollies.
- Clean all floor mats and mop equipment, hanging items up to dry.
- Follow all food handling regulations and safety procedures, including proper use of gloves for prepared fresh fruits, salads, baked goods, and garnishes.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations, reporting any machine issues or error readings immediately to a manager.

- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate efficiently as a team
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and have continued use of hands, fingers and arms
- Ability to continuously bend, reach, twist and carry; and lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Availability during the evenings, weekends and holidays preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and company standards
