Compensation: $50,000 – $60,00 annually, depending on experience
Schedule: 45-50 hours/week
About Us
We are a locally owned sushi restaurant in Gilbert, AZ with a loyal customer base. We are focused on offering consistent, high-quality service and food while maintaining a warm, neighborhood feel. We are looking for a hands-on General Manager who can lead daily operations, support the front and back of the house, and be the heartbeat of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee day-to-day operations including opening/closing procedures
- Manage staff schedules, payroll hours, and labor cost control
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly
Team Management:
- Supervise and support kitchen staff and front-of-house employees
- Hire, train, and develop a cohesive, high-performing team
- Foster a positive workplace culture
Financial & Inventory:
- Monitor daily sales and expenses; report to ownership regularly
- Oversee ordering and inventory of supplies
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3 + years of experience as a restaurant manager (sushi/Japanese restaurant experience is a plus)
- Experience with POS systems, basic reporting, and scheduling
- Reliable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
- ServSafe certified (or able to become certified within 30 days) for food and alcohol.
Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000 – $60,000 annually
