Job purpose

  • Effectively and efficiently support and manage the global procurement group to ensure the smooth set up and delivery of all globally purchased parts.

Duties and responsibilities

Identify between three and eight primary duties and responsibilities for the position

  • Ensure QCD of global suppliers
  • Support agents to accomplish satisfactory QCD
  • Manage global agents and suppliers to accomplish on time startup of new models
  • Provide technical assistance to all agents/ suppliers where possible to solve QD problems
  • Support purchasing director to manage daily activity, schedules and personnel issues of department
  • Monitor global supplier base (financial capability and capacity)
  • Research and develop new global suppliers and evaluate QCD for future business possibility
  • Review new model drawings and assign item class for all items
  • Assist Japanese R&D and TEA for design development
  • Report QCD activity to KMA
  • Stay up to date with markets, trends and related industry business
  • Any special projects as needed

Essential Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Strong system skills: Excel, AS 400, MRP
    • Analytical capabilities for breaking down problems into pieces
    • Vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • English language competency and legible writing ability
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous Kubota product knowledge
  • Previous negotiation skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Japanese language proficiency
