Duties and Responsibilities

  • QCD Management:
    • Ensure Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) standards are met by global suppliers.
    • Support agents in achieving satisfactory QCD performance.
  • Supplier and Agent Management:
    • Manage global agents and suppliers to ensure timely startup of new models.
    • Provide technical assistance to all agents and suppliers to resolve Quality and Delivery (QD) issues.
  • Daily Operations Support:
    • Assist the Purchasing Director in managing daily activities, schedules, and personnel issues within the department.
    • Monitor the global supplier base for financial capability and capacity.
  • Supplier Development:
    • Research and develop new global suppliers, evaluating their QCD capabilities for future business opportunities.
    • Review new model drawings and assign item classifications for all items.
  • Collaboration with R&D:
    • Assist Japanese R&D and TEA teams in design development efforts.
    • Report QCD activities to KMA.
  • Market Awareness:
    • Stay updated with market trends and related industry developments.
    • Undertake any special projects as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong system skills: Proficient in Excel, AS 400, and MRP systems.
  • Analytical capabilities for breaking down complex problems into manageable parts.
  • Vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • English language competency and legible writing ability.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous knowledge of Kubota products.
  • Experience in negotiation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Japanese language proficiency.
